Meringue Cookies Recipe



These beautiful meringue cookies are light as air, perfectly sweet, and so easy to make! Great with a cup or coffee and look wonderful on a cookie tray! Meringue cookies are such a delightful addition to the table and so easy to make! I love to flavor mine with a drop of good vanilla but almond and even peppermint are great choices too. Try dipping or drizzling with chocolate for an extra layer of flavor and remember, these make wonderful gifts!.

    Here is the recipe:
    – 4 egg whites
    – pinch of salt
    – 1/4 tsp cream of tartar or 1/4 tsp vinegar or 1/4 tsp lemon juice
    – 1 cup / 200 g sugar
    – 1 tsp vanilla extract
    – food coloring (optional)
    Bake at 200f / 94c for 1 hour
    leave in oven for additional hour while oven is off.

  26. I set oven temperature to 200 degrees Celsius…..in place of Fahrenheit……and u can imagine what happened in next 15 mins

  30. mf! i burnt my 2 hour worth of time and it got brown in literally 15 mins i am literally cryin! i recommend baking at a much lower temperature!
    edit: i literally just checked and in all other videos they tell you to bake em at or less than 100°c which is 200°f you should have mentioned it was farenheit not celsius

  31. I tried it. But they turned out brownish. Toffee like. Made mine very small. Followed your instructions. Burnt taste. My 2nd try.❗❗❗

  32. I just made these and the gel food colouring changed colour when I cooked them. My pale turquoise and green both came out as beige and my pink came out peach. What am I doing wrong?

I made a batch of these and they taste amazing. Worked perfectly. My question is I want to use these to decorate my granddaughters 1st birthday cake. Will these meringues go soft on the cake?
